LEADING CRAFSTMANSHIP OF NOMADS. Walls of the yurt can be used to hang lights, tools, clothing, or other small things. It is packed into 2 bags. The most noticeable thing is it can be easily put at the back of the car. The portable wood burning stove is installable in the yurt. It is assembled on the ground. It takes only 30-40 minutes to erect and 30 minutes to take down. Combining the spirit of a tent with the permanence of a house, it is great for those who can’t decide whether they’re staying or going. Burnt finish is waterproof, Great protection against insects. Takes 6 days to complete. First Layer – Polyester fabric. Second Layer – Waterproof Poly Cotton Canvas. Crown Wheel Cover – Transparent PVC cover. There are three straps for the top, middle and bottom. They are encircled and tightened after the outer cover is placed. Although it might be difficult to see in the picture above, there are two straps, for the top and bottom, that encircle the lattice wall. There is one side strap that should be tightened after the crown cover is placed. Its main purpose is to regulate the yurt temperature. When it is removed, wind flow in the yurt increases significantly. When it is on, it keeps warmth, or, coolness inside the yurt. It can be made either of wood or waterproof canvass. The yurt needs to be set up on an even surface. Floor/foundation can be made of lots of material: wood, concrete, etc. In Mongolia, nomads do not use the floor during summer; they just set the yurt up on grass. Our standard yurt does not include floor/foundation. We recommend the customers to set their own foundation suited well to their landscape and environment. It is made of larch wood. Camping Yurts Door can be deployed in 4 pieces. The number of lattice wall determines the size of the Camping yurt. Camel hide cut in narrow straps is the most suitable material to securely join wood to make the lattice wall. Our lattice walls have 2 parts(Lower and Upper) which are connected during assemble. Depending on the size of the yurt, there are from 36 to over 200 rafters to join the lattice wall and the crown wheel. Our rafters deploy in 2 pieces to save space. Consisted from 41 pieces. Crown wheel /compression ring/skylight. In our Camping Yurt, we modified crown wheel into 8 pieces. Each pieces connected with flexible steel wire. Up for grabs is a gigantic cabin tent made by Northwest territory. It’s 196 square feet in size and has a divider to make it two large rooms, a remote controlled room light (works perfectly) and a hanging shelf. We used it this year for a great weekend getaway and before we left I treated the tent and rain fly with 10 cans of silicone based water repellent. I went a bit heavy on the rain fly and when it dried you could see white residue in spots(zoom in on the first photo and you can see it). It didn’t and doesn’t affect the rain fly in the slightest bit, but wanted to mention it. I suppose it could be washed off if you wanted, but it was pretty expensive to treat it so I left it. The tent is in great shape with zero rips or tears. The floor is perfectly in tact and the tent shows like it was new (white residue on rain fly aside) inside and out. All of the tent poles and connectors are in great shape and there are no cracks or stress marks on any. The only real wear is on the storage bag on the end from being stood up and moved around (see photos). Overall this is a great tent that’s easy to put up and has great ventilation for summer camping.
