Golite utopia 2+ ultralight shelter. As you probably are aware, golite went bankrupt last year, so finding high-quality and affordable ultralight shelters became a lot harder. Is made with sil-nylon and weighs in at only 2lb 10oz! With less weight than most bivy sacks, the utopia provides full coverage protection against the elements with two side vents to reduce condensation. This shelter excels when weight is a concern and provides excellent shelter in snow, either for sleeping or a place to hunker down and cook during nasty weather. This sale includes main tent, stakes, stake bag, poles, pole bag, and tent stuff sack. Poles are made with high quality dac featherlite poles which crisscross on the interior of tent and are held together by velcro tabs. Plenty of tie-downs on the tent keep shelter anchored when the weather turns for the worst. This tent was only used on one 4-day trip to the high uintas in utah (3rd photo) to store our gear and keep it protected from the weather while we slept in a large and heavy sierra designs stretch dome. The only issue worth noting is a grease spot (shown in last photo). It would probably come clean, but i didn’t want to risk damaging the waterproofing. Also, where the poles cross in the center, both poles have a small bend in them, which is natural for lightweight aluminum poles and happens with every tent i have seen or used.
