Ceiling Material: 10 oz Hydra-shield cotton canvas. Wall Material: 8.5 oz Hydra-Shield cotton canvas. Floor Material: 16 oz vinyl. Frame: 1 inch, galvanized, steel tubing. Flex-Bow Rods: 3/8 inch, solid, spring steel. All-Season: Can be used year-round but is not designed for harsh winter mountaineering. Please note that if selecting the vestibule attachment accessory, you will want to review the vestibule listing for information concerning the grommet holes. Roof dimensions: approximately 116-inches x 68 inches. Note: the tarp is not included with this tent. The tarp is optional and although it is a good item to have it is just a tarp – not a canvas drop cloth. In the past, it has been included, but we have replaced that free tarp promotion with the bonus optional accessory in the dropdown menu above. This is the ideal tent for the Boy Scouts and youth church groups. It breathes well, has a large footprint, and doesn’t include the bells and whistles that the more expensive models have including a gear loft and extra hanging storage bags – fewer bells and whistles that scouts have been known to damage or break. This basic tent is great for most campers. The extra windows on the other versions are great for summer camping when the nights are quite hot, but because these breathe well, they cool down as the outside temperature cools. Plus, it does have windows on the front and back to allow for ventilation and a great view of the campground. The tarp isn’t a bad idea for scouts and some tend to simply put the tent wherever they’d like without clearing the brush or checking for unusually sharp rocks pointing up before putting down the tent. It also makes it easier to clean the tent. Beach or desert campers even use the tarp inside the tent to avoid sweeping it out when they break camp. This tent is amazing. It is spacious and made of high quality materials. I like that I can stand up inside. It had everything that I wanted in a tent. When it arrived in the box I quickly unpacked it and took it into the backyard and set it up. I set it up by myself and it was very easy. It only took about 20 minutes. I saturated it with the garden hose and let it dry to season it. It appears to be a very well constructed tent. I love this tent it is easy to set up and take down, and very well built. First CE was great ordered on a holiday weekend last Saturday. The box was heavy didn’t bother picking it up scooted inside. Opened box put the awning poles in with the tent poles bag. Next placed the tent in its duffel now anyone can manage the weight. The weather will not let me setup to season snowing as we speak. However, I have owned over twenty tents various sizes and costs. The Kodiak 6044 basic 10×14 is everything it has been described as. The floor is certainly the thickest I have encountered almost like rubber. The canvas and zippers and metal stake loops seem high quality. My final review will be how it takes the wind. You never know when your going to get caught. Thanks for listening everyone happy Outdoors! Even better than expected! Picked up a 10×14 basic after a miserable hunt in Idaho. Went back for redemption a week later with my new tent and was soooo much more comfortable. With an XL cot, cook station, and big buddy heater this tent was like a mini cabin in the mountains. Can’t imagine late season hunts without it now. Hard to describe how heavy duty the material is, but holy cow is this thing sturdy! Craftsmanship is outstanding and I look forward to using this tent for a very long time. The tent is excellent and works in all weather conditions easy to set up. Everything about this tent exudes quality. Very well made, quality materials, easy to set up. Makes for a great camping experience. Great service by Competitive Edge too. This is an extremely well made tent. I even set up a sprinkler to check for leaks etc. No leaks with heavy load of water from sprinkler. Setup actually only took about 5 minutes. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for the tent to last a lifetime. Can you fit two cots in this tent. Yes, for sure in a 10×14. What makes this different or better than Springbar? They are very similar tents. I haven’t used the Springbar tents, but I have used the Kodiak tents and have been very happy with them myself. I was notified this was in how do I order it. We are expecting more in late July/early August. What’s the difference between this tent and the Flex-Bow Deluxe? The deluxe model is the full feature version. The basic model is the same tent less some of the features. Here is a list of the differences. Everything else would be identical. 1 The basic models do not have the gear loft or clip on bag and pocket organizers. (See note below for #6098). 2 The basic models do not have vents. The vents help improve air-flow and temperature management. 3 The basic models do not have a window inside the door, thus there are two windows (one front, and one back) and two doors (one front, one back). The deluxe model has four windows (two front, two back) and two doors. 4 The basic models have a duffel style storage bag with a zipper. The Deluxe model has a handy strap-and-cinch storage bag so the bag conforms to the rolled tent. No cramming or stuffing. (See note below for #6098) 5 The deluxe models use top of the line YKK Brand zippers. The basic models use a generic version of the same zippers. Note that we have used the generic zippers for nearly 5 years in our basic tents and have very few issues. See the video link on the home page that shows the features of the deluxe Flex-bow tent. This will give you a better idea of the tents features on the deluxe tents. If you can afford the deluxe version then go for the full features. If you are on a budget, the basic models are a great value. Note: Model #6098 9×8 ft. Flex-bow deluxe tent does not have a gear loft, and has a duffel style storage bag. If I order this will I get it by June? We’ve only tested this up to 40mph. It held up just fine. The flexbow is more forgiving so it does hold up better in the wind compared to the cabin tent. How wind resistant is this tent? Can we get this tent with a pipe jack to hook up a stove for cold weather. A stove jack is not safe enough for us to recommend on a flex bow style tent. Take a look at the youtube videos of them in the wind. They are very forgiving which makes them nice and rigid, but you won’t want a stove in a tent that is so forgiving and flexible in a wind storm. This product is made with quality materials and expert workmanship, but is not indestructible. Exhausted zippers, natural hazards e. Weather, animals, abuse e. Do not return your product until you have received authorization and instruction to do so. How long is waiting list? These are likely out until December I’m sorry to say. What is the delivered price to my door on this product? So at the time earlier today the add said in stock. If I won’t get it until September, I don’t know if I want to wait. These tents are more popular now than they have ever been, this one won’t be in for a very long time, I recommend checking out our other Kodiak flex bow tents. Does this model have a screen in the doors? No it does not. The upgraded models do though. What is the privacy vestibule? The privacy vestibule is an optional add-on, It attaches to the end of the awning, and basically encloses the tent more. It’s a good place to keep gear dry, and maybe do cooking or hang out in inclement weather. 6044 has only one door? And two windows and do windows have zip up covers? 6055 has a door in the front and a door in the back. It also has a window in the front and a window in the back. They completely close to prevent water from rain. How many windows does this tent have and is it available for order today? This has one window in the front and one window in the back. You offer an option floor liner which adds upgrade price to the total, but doesn0t the tent come with a floor that is full attached to the tent? Like it0s one piece, correct? The tent includes a floor, there is an optional ground tarp to go under the tent to keep it clean and provide extra protection for the floor on rocky surfaces, etc. The floor liner is a luxury item that simply goes inside the tent on the floor making it soft and giving it more protection. Do the Doors (front and Back) have the mesh screen just like the windows? No but other models do. The pole that goes across the top of the tent between the spring bars bent in a recent storm and needs to be replaced. Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Do gear loft and storage pouches come with this tent? It does include storage pouches located under each window-they are sewn on. However, if you are referring to the extra pocket organizers and hanging bag organizers those are only included on the deluxe and the super deluxe VX models. The gear loft only comes with the deluxe and the super deluxe models as well. Charley Hansen Laptop (2/2/2019). What is the difference between polyester floor and canvas floor? The Kodiak tents floors are vinyl-16 ounce-very heavy-duty. The walls and roof are Canvas, and there is a campus liner available, but the floors are vinyl. The nice thing about the floors is that being vinyl they do not have a crunching sound like most tents floors where it sounds like your walking on a very thin tarp. None of the floors are polyester. Does this tent have a cord access to run power in? However I run the cord thru the door at the bottom flap still covers it no rain inside. I know that the 10×14 Flex Bow basic does not come with gear loft and organizer pouches. But are there any loops sewn in to the top edge where they would be useful in hanging anything say a small led light? Yes they are all there. If the 6044 tent comes with the full floor is the extra tarp to put under the floor area of the tent for extra protection? The ground tarp is to put underneath the floor to make it easier to break camp-making it easier to clean. Some people use the tarp inside if they are camping in the desert so they don’t have to sweep the tent out when they break camp. The tarp is totally optional-certainly not required. I camp in the summer months in direct sunlight. What can I expect for the life of this tent in such conditions? I live in Rhode Island. I’m mostly concerned about how long before the waterproofing and material gets destroyed or weakens. It is up from June-September. I have been using a Coleman Instant tent which is great, however, the sun has destroyed hub parts, a rain fly and now a side wall! It’s lasted 3 summers in these conditions. I’m looking for some longevity. Thanks in advance for your help and answers. They will often cover them with the pop up canopy to prolong the life since eventually UV damage can get the better of any tent. Cabela’s in Utah kept one out in the parking lot on display for an entire year and after the year you can tell that it had faded the colors a bit, but it was still impressively standing. The basic 10###-15465;14 don’t come with storage bag? Does it come with anything too store it in when not being used. It does come with a storage bag, just not the deluxe storage bag that is much easier to use. If you order a deluxe, or super deluxe tent, then it will come with many more accessories, as well as an upgraded storage bag. I recommend ordering one of our other tents, and soon, as we often sell out of most everything by August. What is the extra cost? We need it for girls camp in June. They can be picked up from the warehouse in Salt Lake City down by the airport. We will give you more info when you order. Is the tarp that comes with it for “free” the actual Kodiak ground tarp or a generic tarp? The tarp is the actual tarp provided by Kodiak; however, it is regular polyester, not a canvas drop cloth. Does this come with a tent bag and pole bag, or do they come separate? Yes, this tent includes all of the necessary bags and pieces. I just ordered this tent, but I need to confirm that two windows means in the back of the tent… That the doors are not counted as Windows. Doors in front windows in back? There is a door and a window in the front end of door and window in the back. The doors do not have screens. I live in R beach California. When can I expect arrival? I have a couple questions. One should the heads on the t-bars be a little bit wobbly? 2 How much would it cost for an additional set of the two t bars(not the rods)? Also is the actual height of the tent 6 foot 6 inches? That particular part you would need to call the following number for that replacement. Trying to save as much as possible for Scout Troop. Yes, if you are able to pick it up from us in Salt Lake City we can offer a better price. What are the dimensions of the tent and the stakes packed in their bags? Weight: 80.1 lbs, Size: 49 x 13 x 13.5. How wide is the floor on the inside of the tent? The floor is 10′ x 14′. What does flex bow mean? Flex Bow refers to the rods that hold up the ceiling. You put them into the slots on the t-post. The flexible design allows them to bow with strong tension, – hence, flex-bow. Will your 10 by 14 still be on sale February 3? It should be, but we can make any guarantees as prices fluctuate with the raw materials (cotton) to manufacture these tents. If I ordered a tent on Monday how long would it take to get to Cleveland Ohio? We our scout troop is planning to place an order for 2 and maybe 3 of your Kodiak 6044 tent in the next month. I have seen notes of volume discounts, how many are considered volume and what kind of discounts are offered? Also the online order mentions a tent is worth 100 points. What are the points good for? Just give us a call. Is 8 the maximum number of people you cab fit into this tent or is it the comfortable amount? The opposite would also be true. If people were occupying a lot of space, you would not be able to fit 8 people. A better way to possibly get at an answer to this question is to look at the square footage and layout of the tent and map out where each person would be sleeping and how much space they would be occupying. That will give you an idea of the occupancy you would be able to reach. Competitive Edge Products, Inc reserves the right to verify all online advertised pricing.
