For sale is our canvas Outwell Montana 6. It is a fantastic family tent which has enough room for a family to cook and hang out inside. The canvas is a kind of dense cotton fabric which is completely waterproof and is more substantial than the more common nylon version. The Montana 6 has two sleeping compartments with super-useful pockets outside them. It slept our family of four in comfort. Also included is an original Outwell carpet (which keeps your feet warm and which our boys loved) and a footprint to go beneath the entire tent and keep it separate from the ground. It comes packed in the original two Outwell portage bags. We have camped in the tent through thunder storms, the recent summer heat wave and frosty spring nights – it has been consistently great (and bone dry – the floor section is rubberised and zips into the upper part of the tent – it has never and nothing can creep in :-) . The tent has been used around twenty times and is in great working order but does have the usual signs of age – some small marks on the canvas and a little fading. Other defects – the only thing we are aware of is that a couple of the clips that attach the sleeping compartment to the top of the tent have been lost but it doesn’t make any noticeable difference to how the sleeping compartment goes up and hangs. Net: 40gsm white, both on door and windows. 32mm galvanized steel tube, 1.5mm thickness, copper-zinc coated. A frame pole: Dia. 19mm galvanized steel tube, 1.2mm thickness, copper-zinc coated. Windows: 4 side windows & 4 vents on the apex, with mesh. Door: 1 zipper door, zipper Mesh door is optional, with flap. Rope: 6mm Nylon ropes, 2.4m9pcs; 3.5m1pc. Stakes: 5mm steel, 26cm on length. Product size:500300170/60 cm. Always dry your tent before you pack it away to store. Never keep the tent stored away wet for longer than two days otherwise fungus can. When dealing with fungus, use a soft brush or sponge and a lot of fresh water. Only use specialized tent cleaning products to remove difficult stains as other chemical products can cause the cotton to leak. We suggest you have your tent re-impregnated with waterproofer if any area has been cleaned using a cleaning product. Cotton can, when new, let some air through and leak around the seams.
