Hybrid, single-wall design uses advanced welding technology to permanently attach rainfly to floor. These features combined with patent-pending CrossFlow design creates lighter tents that are comfortable through a wide range of conditions. CrossFlow design creates a very active ventilation pattern, keeping the tent cooler and extracting moist air before condensation can occur. Wide, 360° mesh perimeter floor venting allows free flow of air from all directions, while three upper vents serve to draw air out. Single-wall rainfly extends over mesh perimeter for full protection and is welded to maintain waterproofness. Vents are also welded to preserve the waterproof integrity of the tent. Superlight nylon ripstop rainfly/canopy has outer silicone coating for added strength and water repellency, and less stretch in wet conditions. Polyurethane inner coating provides waterproofness and durability. Superlight 2000 nylon taffeta floor has a lightweight polyether urethane coating for durability and waterproofness; seams are taped. New Atlas 7001 poles use Atlas connectors for corrosion- and dent-resistance, plus they’re completely field serviceable. Atlas Floating pole connectors mean poles flex with less stress at the joints, weigh less with more strength, and can be fixed without tools. Two side doors provide convenient access; clear UVX film ceiling window lets in light and views. Inverted double rainfly zippers allow ease of ventilation and feature laminated zipper flaps for water resistance. Large mesh pockets and webbing hang loops keep things organized inside. Large stake out loops accept both skis and snow pickets. Bar-tacked stress points add strength and durability; bias-bound zippers allow ease of use and extended zipper life. Please note: The CrossFlow design does have its limits and may not be appropriate for every user or all conditions. Moisture will condense on the interior in some hot muggy conditions or when there is little to no wind to assist the venting. Whenever possible all the vents should be left open. It is important to keep sleeping bags and other gear from blocking the perimeter vent to maintain maximum ventilation.
