Black Diamond “Bibler” Standard Hooped Bivy Sack – Size Large Long. Made in the USA! The previous owner of this bivy removed the plastic rod that creates support for the hood. The plastic “hoop” that was removed was made of a polymer called Acetron GP and measured. 187 of an inch by 41.5 inches (4.75 mm x 105.41 cm). This bivy is pristine for the most part. There is no noticeable wear or soil. There is some slight discoloration up near the top inside of the bag, which looks like color transfer from whatever the individual who was using it was wearing. The seams have not been sealed, which you will need to do, if you plan to use it’sans’ tent. I have the feeling that this bivy was either used on a port-a-ledge or in a tent and not on the ground. I bought this last winter to replace my yellow version (I’m not fond of yellow), but I didn’t know till I received it that it was the long version and was missing the “hoop”. Being only 5′ 7 I really don’t need to haul around a bivy designed for someone over 6 feet in height. From what I can tell, this thing could fit someone 7 feet tall! I measured it across at the shoulders and it was 33. Lots of wiggle room, unless you’re built like King Kong! In case you’re not familiar with Bibler products, an outdoor adventurer name Todd Bibler designed tents and bivys that were unique in the 80′s, because they were of single-wall design. He used GoreTex laminate bonded to a proprietary inner fabric that wicks out moisture like a paper towel. It is truly the only laminate that actually does keep rain and snow from coming in, while transporting moisture vapor from your body out. All of the Bibler designs are of expedition quality and are manufactured to withstand extreme weather and extended use. Hello, thanks for looking. This listing is for an MSR Elixir 2 tent with bike stuff sack. It is in used but great condition (as per the photos) having only been used a handful of times. Please look at all the photos and ask any questions if you have any. The one thing of note is that one of the quick release buckles needs attaching (photo) but I have done it rather lazily and tied it on – it has worked absolutely fine as is but if you’re not lazy like me you can either fit it yourself or ask MSR to do it at virtually no cost. The IONOSPHERE by Snugpak is an extremely small and compact 1 person tent. The IONOSPHERE has a very low profile and is great for those looking for a 1 person tent to keep out of the elements. Just like SCORPION 2 the IONOSPHERE also too has a 5000mm PU Coated Fly. The IONOSPHERE has a single entry point, No-See-Um-Mesh and all seams are seam taped. A very impressive small compact tent by anyones standards and is not made with cheap materials, it is a top quality product made to some exacting standards. Flysheet is a lightweight 210t Polyester RipStop with a 5000mm waterproof. Inner Tent constructed of 190t Nylon with Polyester Mesh. DAC® Featherlite NSL® anodized poles. All DAC® Poles are made from TH72M aluminium. All seams are taped sealed. Alloy Stakes (14 + 2 Spare Stakes). Available in Olive Outer with Black Inner only.
