This item is new. It is not in its original packaging. The item has not been used. So freakin light and packs down to the size of a softball. The doors are awesome and there is plenty of room inside (I’m 5’10). For all you gram weenies cutting tags and planning FKT’s, shave those last few grams off your base weight with the Hexamid Pocket Tarp; our lightest shaped tarp ever! This ultralight tarp can be your primary shelter on an ultra-minimalist adventure or can be tucked away in a pocket in case you need it to sit out a surprise afternoon thunderstorm on day trips, or as an emergency shelter. Super simple by design, the Hexamid Pocket Tarp provides shelter while keeping your base weight at a bare minimum. Sets up with a single trekking pole adjusted to around 52 (132 cm). A tent pole can also be used if you don’t carry a trekking pole. The Hexamid Pocket Tarp includes bright yellow 1.3mm. Which save weight compared to the 2mm guy lines found on our standard shelters. The guy lines can be swapped out on any of our shelters if desired. The inside of each corner has a loop for clipping on your groundsheet. Just below the peak, there is a loop on the inside for hanging a flashlight or stuff sack. Dyneema® Composite Fabric can handle high wind loads, and as long as your stakes stay in the ground (use rocks if available) your tent will stay standing. DCF is not particularly noisy, however almost any tarp will make a little noise in the wind. Earplugs are not a bad idea for windy nights. Dyneema Composite Fabric is naturally waterproof and is not treated with any potentially harmful chemicals such as flame retardants or water repellents. Made in the USA.

Zpacks hexamid pocket tarp with Yama bug bivy (y-zip) tarp is 6oz. Bivy is 7oz with rig kit. Used three times, I didn’t quite fit in it and couldn’t make it work. I sewed two additional loops onto the bivy (recommended by the owner of the company) to better suit the hexamids shape.

Please read the entire ad carefully. Bought directly from Zpacks in 2019. Used on average about 10-12 times a year – probably 50-60 nights in total. No longer expecting to use this and want to sell it while it still has value. Having said that these things are a force of nature and if you look online they are never depreciating significantly. As mentioned in the condition, this is not a new item – the wall and ground are in good condition (these things may look crinkled when you receive it, but that’s because they pack down so well and are so strong – once you put it up, they do exactly what is required- might see a pine needle or some dust ;-) . The mesh does have a repair and has some fray and 3 holes that I could locate. You can simply throw on some lightweight carbon tape and it’s good to go. To be very clear – this is not a new item but it will do the job. I have probably hiked a few hundred kilometres.. No time wasters please.
